Monday Off label founder and Unter resident Mary Yuzovskaya is one of the secret weapons in New York's afterhours techno scene. By way of Berlin and before that Moscow, NYC-based techno DJ and record label owner Mary Yuzovskaya has been cultivating her unique orbit in the electronic dance music firmament for over 10 years. Having graced the decks of all Moscow’s hotspots back in the mid-2000s, Mary moved to Berlin, where she quickly became recognised for both her blisteringly-precise vinyl-only techno sets and her painstakingly professional approach to the craft of DJing. Based in New York City since 2013, Mary currently holds a residency at Unter, a notoriously secretive underground techno party showcasing the best in local and international talent. Also, in 2017, Mary launched her very own record label called Monday Off, where she curates and presses work from artists that explore techno's trippier, more hypnotic side. Mary has been fortunate enough to share the decks with many talented and internationally recognised musicians such as Marcel Dettmann, DVS1, Emika, Stephanie Sykes, Developer, Somewhen, Claudio PRC, Henning Baer, Xhin, Tommy Four Seven, Perc, Deadbeat, Anthony Parasole, Edit Select, Dino Sabatini, Norman Nodge and many others. She has been busily traveling the world and performing her unique take on techno music’s deeper vibes at many noted clubs across the world, including Tresor, Arma 17, ://about blank, and Output, to name only a few.
NYC-based singer, multi-instrumentalist, DJ and producer Heidi Sabertooth has a serious love for hardware. Grit-laced drum loops, vintage acid and a tide of unruly sound clatters forth from her studio. She's been creating her unique brand of avant electronics since 2012 and she shares it with the world on her Newtown Radio show Deep Dive and her Techno Support Group residency at Bossa Nova Civic Club. Her highly lauded live hardware performances and vinyl-heavy dj sets have cemented her own place among NYC’s techno community and beyond, sharing the stage with the likes of DJ Spider, Umfang, Ital, Ellen Allien, Broken English Club, Lucy and more. Her debut solo release on Motor Records was released in September 2017, with a second EP on the horizon for Lost Soul Enterprises in early 2018.
Andy Egelhoff is a DJ and photographer based in Brooklyn who performs as SPRKLBB. As the founding resident of the Ostbahnhof parties in New York and Los Angeles, he helped bring top talent such as Terrence Dixon, Mike Servito, Volvox, Mystic Bill, Lady Blacktronika, and many others to more affordable, queer-focused parties. Egelhoff also programmed for High+Tight, a sex-positive fetish party here in New York, which invited artists such as Aurora Halal, Octo Octa, Turtle Bugg, and Physical Therapy, to play with emerging queer DJs. SPRKLBB plays frequently in the New York underground scene, including sets at The Carry Nation, Holy Mountain, Wrecked, The Spectrum, Lost Soul Enterprises, and Sublimate. SPRKLBB is currently resident of artist Seze Devres’ long running Kiss & Tell Party, where techno DJs are invited to play more eclectic multiple genres sets. Kiss & Tell Party is often held at Bossa Nova Civic Club and was recently hosted at Elsewhere, for a night alongside Mike Huckaby. Egelhoff has been photographing underground dance music and rave culture throughout the United States and Europe for the past decade. His work has been featured in numerous magazines including VICE, Hello Mr, GUP, NY Magazine, and Vogue, and he has mounted exhibitions in NYC, Los Angeles, Paris, Belfast, and the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
